Latest $100K Guaranteed Winner
by Bodog Poker | Sep 22 2009
Bodog's
$100K Guaranteed Poker Tournament consistently continues to be the best poker bargain on the internet, and this past week's winner took advantage of another small field to take home the $25K first-place prize. As usual Bodog added a big overlay to bring the guaranteed prize pool up to $100K. They added a whopping $39,250, nearly half what was guaranteed, giving the 405 players who played in the tournament the best tournament bargain they could possibly find on a Sunday afternoon.
The September 20 winner was Bodog regular "cmizzles3687". Second-place money went to "X___X", who pocketed $15K, and third-place finisher “Alain Delon” managed to add $9,700 to his bankroll. The final table payouts looked like this:
1. cmizzles3687 - $25,000
2. X____X - $15,000
3. Alain Delon - $9,500
4. Balla686 - $7,000
5. terags - $5,500
6. billyboy5 - $4,500
7. JACKOFHOGS - $3,500
8. bigratbastard - $2,200
9. sonajero - $1,700
For the winner it was just another day at the office. "cmizzles3687" is no stranger to the Bodog Poker winner's circle, having won a Bodog $15K event last May. A month later he went deep in another $100K event, finishing in 18th place. He also finished third in the Bodog Open II Main Event for another $28K. With more than $175,000 in overall tournament winnings in the Bodog
Poker room, he's definitely a force to contend with for whoever ends up sharing a table with him. The New York native is only 22 years old and will certainly be one to watch over the next few years.
Second-place finisher "X___X" is also used to going deep in Bodog Tournaments. He had a third-place finish in the $100K back in late July that was worth $9700. In that one he lost out to online legend Kevin "Wu_Wizard" MacPhee and another player named “SSWEETNESS”. Reaching the final three twice in the $100K in the span of a couple of months is a feat in itself, and we definitely haven't seen the last of this player.
If you would like your chance at a $25K payday you can buy in directly to the Bodog $100K Tournament for $109. Or you can play a wide variety of qualifiers that start out as low as $1. You can even get in without investing any cash if you opt to use 400 of your player points. If you're a new player Bodog is also running a special promotion that will give you six free entries into a $100 qualifier. You won't find a better deal to play for a six-figure prize pool than that, especially one that usually has only 400 players enrolled.
Try your luck at the Bodog 15
Days of Poker. There's lots of ways to get to the $15K Final and the promotion is a great way to test your knowledge of the different
holdem tournament structures out there.
