Bodog Mini Poker Series Tournament Leaderboard Update

The
Bodog Mini Poker Series has been underway for 20 days now, and the
Bodog Mini Poker Series Final to decide the WSOP package winner is set to be played July 23 (TONIGHT!) at 8:35pm ET. At the conclusion of that tournament someone will win a seat into the 2010 WSOP Main Event. The $11 satellites have been running since July 3, and the Semi-Final played out this past Tuesday. The top 10 players on the leaderboard automatically qualified for the Final on Thursday, and the overall winner also won a free seat in any
Flight Club Semi-Final, valued at $270.
Players have been earning leaderboard points by placing in the top 30% of the 13 qualifying events. The top players battled down to the end for the top spot, with "fjutsie" coming out in the number one spot with 768.22 points. "fjutsie" wins the free seat in the Flight Club of his choice and bragging rights for this year. It was a narrow win over second-place "sinsaplentyDUKE" who fell short by less than 20 points with a total of 748.57. The only other player to compile a point total over 700 was "URallDOOMED", who had 705.27 points after the last event was played out.
The other players getting automatically into the Final include; "UppyTime" (655.45), "Turfbum" (624.20), "trumpel" (623.41), "GOTTCCHA" (620.03), "TSM12" (579.04), "general scum" (563.53) and "DeepFryer" (536.07). All these players got to skip the Semi-Final on Tuesday and have a freeroll into the Final. The top 50 players (11-50) from the leaderboard all got free entry into Tuesday's Semi-Final. The top 18 from the Semi-Final will also get free entry on Thursday. Besides the qualifiers, anyone who played in all 13 qualifying events will also get a free ticket into the Final.
It's unknown how many 2010 WSOP Main Event seats will be up for grabs on Thursday. Last year three
WSOP seats were awarded to "pokerfanx789", "dudix" and "Boswan," who all tried their luck in Las Vegas as Team Bodog members over the last few weeks. Not only did they get free entry into the WSOP Main Event, but they also had 2K in spending money and access to all the Bodog WSOP festivities throughout the Main Event week.
The lucky winner, or winners, will have a whole year to prepare for their trip to Vegas for next year's Main Event. That's enough time for anyone to practice their deep stack MTT skills to prepare for the biggest
poker tournament of the year. If you're not the Bodog Mini Poker Series lucky winner, the Bodog Flight Club will be offering satellites to other big live poker tournaments all over the world during the next year.
